The entire network is connected to the Internet and communicates through use of TCP/IP protocol. All remote sites, including a mobile sales force with the use of notebook PC's, have connection to the corporate head quarters through use of frame relay and dial up solutions. Novell GroupWise is used as the company wide E-mail system. The Microsoft office suites are used throughout the entire company. All Inventory, Order Entry, Purchasing and JD Edwards Accounting functions are done on the AS/400 platform. Connection of PC's to the AS/400 is done through the use of Microsoft SNA servers. Application development for the AS/400 is done in house utilizing RPG III and ILE RPG. | |
