How to find out the MAC address of an XP computer

1. Click Start | Run
2. Type cmd to open the command window.
3. At the command prompt, type ipconfig /all
4. Under the heading "Wireless LAN adapter Wireless Network Connection, scroll down to "Physical Address" and note the six part hyphenated number there
5. Enter this number in your WAP's MAC filtering database
